Standard Life workplace proposition is an important part of our history and essential to our future strategy.  To drive forward our vision we’re looking to recruit a Head of Workplace Relationship Management, helping us shape and deliver our market leading proposition for current and future growth.

Reporting directly to the Workplace Pensions Director you will be a key member of the Workplace Distribution leadership team.  You’ll lead a team of 2 direct reports and c15 indirect team members, working collaboratively with colleagues across our business to create an inclusive team environment where everyone can prosper.

Key responsibilities

  • Leadership of the Workplace Relationship Management channel, responsible for delivering against growth and retention targets for Standard Life’s existing multi-channel employer corporate clients. The role also has responsibility for delivery of growth and retention targets for Standard Life Direct employer book of business.
  • Member of the Workplace Distribution Leadership Team, responsible for shaping, developing and delivering the Annual Operating plan driving a high performing, competitive channel maximising the value and potential of the Workplace market.
  • Develop relationships with key clients to maximise business opportunities (growth and retention) and take direct responsibility for specified accounts.
  • Allocate and distribute clients to portfolios and ensure they are managed in line with teams objectives (e.g. segmentation) to maximise business opportunities.
  • Act as a key point of escalation for your team’s Workplace clients.
  • Evaluate business performance and ensure regulatory, legislative and business requirements are adhered to and all systems and processes are compliant, with all risks identified and managed.
  • Establish self as key point of contact for Workplace Distribution, building strong relationships, interacting with and working in partnership with Workplace and cross divisional team e.g. BDM, CRM, Proposition, Commercial, Marketing.
  • Motivate, engage and develop the Relationship Management teams, establishing a high performing team which continually achieves or exceeds growth and retention targets, including key strategic client management goals.
  • Ensure compliance guidelines are adhered to in order to protect Standard Life’s reputation.
  • Represent the Workplace Pensions Director on internal steering committees or projects, providing key insight and strategic thinking to ensure the current and future needs of our clients are met.
  • Establish and maintain a network with relevant influencers and departments within Standard Life to ensure all available support is used effectively.
