The Nominations for this year’s Hr NETWORK National Awards have opened and the interest in this, the highlight of the HR calendar in Scotland, is the highest it’s ever seen.

2016 marks the 10th Anniversary of the Awards and the organisers have introduced a new Award category to recognise the HR Specialist of 2016.

The Hr NETWORK National Awards are the largest and most prestigious HR awards in Scotland. Launched in early 2007, the awards are designed to recognise, acknowledge and reward the champions of the Scottish HR profession.

The annual Gala Dinner will take place at the impressive Glasgow Hilton on Thursday 10th November 2016 attracting around 800 guests from the world of HR and people development & management in Scotland which is regarded as the ‘must attend’ event in the Scottish business calendar.

There are 17 categories to nominate in which range from HR Graduate and HR Assistant/Officer of the Year through to HR Director, Strategic People Project and the ultimate award of them all, Lifetime Achievement Award, which was introduced to the process last year.

The categories have been split in to two groups. ‘People’ categories relate to the recognition of individuals and specifically the HR Team of the Year category. ‘Project’ categories relate to a wide range of projects, programmes, and organisational awards.

The organisers of the Awards have once again included the ‘Nominations Intention Scheme’, which is designed to capture the early interest from those people intending to nominate and which provides updates and information as the nominations proceed to the end of May deadline.

This year see’s the opening of the brand new nominations form, following the launch of the new Hr NETWORK website, and the organisers believe this will lead to a much easier nominations process than previously.

In order to nominate, each nominator will be required to complete a very simple registration to the Hr NETWORK site, before they can view the categories and criteria.

Automatic notifications will be issued once a nomination has been received, advising the nominator of all the information that has been submitted ad details relating to the next stage of the process.

The Nominations are open from Tuesday 1st March 2016 and will close on Tuesday 31st May 2016. Those intending to nominate but who miss the end of May deadline, will be given additional time to submit their nomination/s if they are part of the ‘Nominations Intention Scheme’.

To join the Nominations Intention Scheme, nominators are encouraged to email the awards planning team: awards@hrnetworkscotland.co.uk identifying the categories that they are nominating in.
